History: A wiki-thing

Personality:
Mildly put, Marc Spector is a very troubled man. For years he's wrestled with the pain and guilt wrongfully inflicted upon him by his mother at an early age, finding escape only in the form of the identity of Steven Grant, inspired by the same-named character of an intrepid explorer from his favorite movie of his childhood. While Marc takes responsibility for his actions, it includes even the false accusations from his mother regarding what happened to his younger brother when they were children. It seems that in some way he's accepted that he's not good for anything save to bring death to others, and although this is what he ultimately does as Khonshu's fist and his targets are hardly innocent, it no less has taken a toll on him.

Even in casual circumstances he finds it a little difficult to relax, an ever wound-up clock spring trying to go with the flow. He keeps his walls up, cautious and to a degree simply downright suspicious of things. After Layla he tries to keep people at arms-length, convinced that anything he involves himself in will come to ruin. Deep down he just needs to really understand that he's been shouldering a guilt he never should have had to in the first place, but it's something he keeps buried deep that it's not an easy thing to be brought to light.

There's no doubting Marc's bravery and his willingness to put himself at great risk for the sake of others, especially for those he's come to deeply care about. Working as a mercenary may have calloused him some, making him prefer a more direct approach when it comes to dealing with people, particularly those of the unsavory sort. He's not great at subtlety and while he has patience for some things, it wears thin quickly for others. Although he has a tendency to lose his temper it isn't very often and only when he's really strained to his limits. On the contrary, when it comes to being in the middle of a fight he's actually quite level-headed, and even in largely outnumbered situations he holds a great air of confidence. Unfortunately when you've got a little British man inside of you that abhors violence it does make things a little more difficult to handle, especially given Steven's more vocal tendencies lately.

For as much as he may seem to fight with himself about things, Marc still ultimately wishes that he could have kept Steven innocent to all the things he's done, all the blood on his hands. He's willing to disappear forever and leave Steven to live a normal life, but complications have come up what with his wife Layla coming back into the picture. Marc still fiercely cares for her too, and feels that the best way to protect her is to keep her from getting involved, unaware that Khonshu's been pulling his strings the whole time.

Unbeknownst to both him and Steven is that there is yet another persona sharing their body, one that revels much more in violence and unlike Marc is eager to dole out punishment and get his hands dirty so long as the end goal is reached. He doesn't seem to surface as often, and only when either Marc or Steven are in dire straits. In such instances they black out, only to regain consciousness usually with someone else's blood on their hands and any number of bodies around them. From another perspective one could say that he's fiercely protective of both his alter-egos that he will forcefully take the wheel in order to cross lines they may not themselves, in order to save them. Jake Lockley may serve as Marc's outlet for acting out, and while Marc is seeking to be freed of his servitude to Khonshu, Jake doesn't seem to mind the whole shtick so much.

Abilities:
As a former Marine Marc's no stranger to firearms or fisticuffs. He's got sharp reflexes, some even drilled into him that it comes natural, such as to disarm someone when he's got a gun pointed in his face. Despite being ex-military and mercenary, acting as Khonshu's justice has definitely kept him active and fit, and he's capable of pulling off some parkour when things come down to a chase. Guns are his preferred choice of weapon when he's not in The Suit, and his skills as a former mercenary show for his marksmanship and the efficiency of his aim. He also seems pretty proficient in the use of melee weapons and his aim proves quite sharp when using throwing weapons- in particular the sickle-shaped blades that come with the Moon Knight's accoutrement. Without a weapon he's no less dangerous, as he's well-trained in various styles of martial arts.

As the Moon Knight his basic abilities gain a bit of a power boost. He can run and move faster, jump farther and hit harder. His strength is enhanced as well, enabling him to crush things like car fenders bare-handed or bodily lift people (or jackal monsters) as though they weighed nothing more than a child. Although not used extensively, he is capable of flight to some degree, or at least something more like a distance glide. Most notably he can take more of a beating, the suit allowing him to heal from any injuries no matter how serious, as he's been shot at and stabbed, suffered dislocations and contusions.

*Note: At the point he's being taken from, Marc will not have access to the Moon Knight's abilities but I'm mentioning them for whenever we choose to canon-update. In terms of power-nerfing, given the circumstances as well as taking into consideration other characters with external power sources, I'd say that all abilities will be dampened, and regeneration of injuries will take more time rather than be instantaneous (this ability does work without him actually being in the suit).
